If you have moved abroad and miss your family and friends back home, it can be a real comfort being able to contact them via the internet.  Most areas in the UK now support a broadband package so it is an easy task getting this installed.

Broadband internet is the fastest and cheapest way to stay in touch, and also to access news and information from home.

There are plenty of options in the UK.  You may be familiar with the name o2 for mobile phones, but they also provide a competitive broadband service.  Which package you choose is up to you:

• Premium
• Ultimate

Each package has slightly different features but all are the ADSL type.  All three are free to set up but differ in speed and usage type. 

Ok, so let us say your family and friends are based very far away, and you want to be able get in touch frequently.  In that case, Ultimate may be the best as it has 20MB speed with unlimited usage and downloads. 

If you already have an o2 mobile, the monthly tariff is just £15 but regular customers pay £20.  The minimum contract is 12 months which is a regular period – very few providers offer shorter contracts. 

So if you are in the UK indefinitely, it is certainly worth setting up a broadband package which will ensure you can make the distance between yourself and your loved ones seem much shorter.
