Micheal Jackson to Live on in New Video Game?

Michael Jackson fans can access their hero via a new video game which is rumoured for release this Christmas 2009.

Jackson may have passed away on June 25th, but his legacy will continue for fans across the globe. For gaming fans, the rumours will mean another MJ game to add to the collection.

In 1990, Michael Jackson's Moonwalker was released on Mega Drive and was a huge cult hit. If it were to be re-released on Xbox 360 or Playstation 3, it would no doubt be a hit once again. There are some who believe this will certainly happen.

But this latest rumour is of an entirely new game. What is fact and fiction remains to be seen..

There was talk of an unreleased game already doing the rounds, but this has been replaced with news that there is an official game in the making.

One worker at MJ Productions even commented that it would be a likely release as "Michael loved games".

There have been other gaming links to the late King of Pop - as well as the 1990 Moonwalker hit, there was his cameo in Space Channel 5 in both the late 1990s and again in 2002. Then there was the Dreamcast/PS2 Ready 2 Rumble Boxing: Round 2, which was even more violent than Moonwalker!

There have been gaming fans who have said it may be fitting to release a SingStar special edition in honour of Michael Jackson, but that is as yet just a pipe dream.
