Downloads are unlimited with o2’s standard broadband package though the speed is 8MB – not as high as some of their other packages. This package is best suited for medium usage and includes a free wireless router.
The standard package is one of three available from o2 but this is the cheapest. 02 customers benefit from a cheaper deal at £7.34 per month – non customers pay more at £12.23 per month.
There is no connection charge, but remember to check if the download speed is supported in your area – it does vary according to location. Upload speed is up to 1.3meg, again this depends on location.
This service is pretty good value but does depend on o2 coverage. Make sure you check all the charges before you start – there is an early cancellation charge, express cancellation charge, reactivation charge and reconnection charge. If you move home more than once a year you will be charged a home mover’s charge of nearly £50.
