UK Online Lite is one of three packages from UK Online. This one is best for Light usage with up to 2MB download and up to 256K uploads.

The website says the connection is free but on closer inspection you may be subject to a £25 connection fee. For the first 12 months you will receive the McAfee Internet Security Suite. You will also receive a free UK Online email address with 200MB storage.

You will need to check if this service is available in your area – UK Online provide an availability calculator on their site (enter your phone number and postcode).

The service costs £14.99 a month – subject to location, availability and ‘survey’. You will need a BT line. In order to set up UK Online Lite, you will need to buy the Netgear Wireless router at £49.99 – this is a mandatory purchase so that the service can work. Minimum contract is 12 months.
