This is the second of three packages from UK Online. You will get up to 16MB of unlimited broadband and up to 1MB upload. Both this and the price – quoted at ‘from £24.99 a month’ – will be subject to availability, location and ‘survey’.
You can check to see if your area supports UK Online by using the website’s postcode/telephone number checking tool. You will need a BT line to use this service.
UK Online is aimed at a “professional” customer base – for Home and Office – but there is no specific features to this service which makes it more suited to a busy professional than any other broadband service.
You will receive McAfee Internet Security Suite for the first 12 months – worth nearly £50 – which is a fairly attractive offer. You will also get up to 20 free UK Online email addresses, each with 200MB of storage.
Note the wireless router is not included in the price at UK Online, so you will need to purchase their Netgear Router for £49.99 (which is the same as you would have been saving for the free McAfee software).
